Product Description

The Breathedry waterproof smock is a lightweight technical garment, with an array of features which have been included with the arborist in mind.

As a fully waterproof and breathable jacket, the ATHV4400 conforms to EN343 Class 3, and incorporates an increased back length to shed water, and a high collar with waterproof zipper, inner placket and neck protector.

Inside the collar is stowed a large, adjustable helmet compatible hood - designed to be able to fit over a climbing helmet. The hood has a wired peak, a bungee volume adjuster draw cord, and a large hook & loop storm flap.

The sleeves are off generous length, and have inner soft cuffs with thumb loops, plus hook & loop tab fasteners to keep the cuffs watertight.

A large breast pocket with waterproof zipper can take a smart phone, and further large pouch pocket can be accessed by long side zippers. The pouch pocket also acts as a ventilation point, with mesh panels inside.

Further ventilation ports are concealed beneath zippers in the armpits, and there is an access zipper at the bottom of each side, useful when wearing a climbing harness.

The Breathedry waterproof smock is available in a number of smart colour options. This high visibility orange version conforms to EN ISO 20471 Class 3 and GO/RT 3279 (RIS-3279-TOM).

Value, Quality and Price are all spot on with this Jacket. The design, the materials and the finish really are fantastic. My only trouble is that, while a size medium seems to fit in most places and looks like an almost perfect fit with plenty of room for any combination of layers or no layers underneath(I am 5'.9" with a 30" waist and normally a 41-43" chest depending on how hard I've been working), the limited space across the shoulder blades means that movement in my arms and shoulders is very restricted so I am unable to use this as a climbing jacket. I have tried the large version which is enormous on me all over, the distance from shoulder to shoulder is too big and yet still somehow it felt tight and restricted across the shoulder blades. As it is, this is a really fantastic jacket but it's definitely best suited for someone with shoulders on the smaller side.

So a month ago I was lucky enough to get my hands on the new Arbortec Breathedry Smock and I'd like to think it's been put through its paces over that time..
I'm not just a climber, I do veg clearance, be that stimmimg, hedge cutting, bramble clearance.. Whatever is need to be honest and this jacket has out performed anything I've used to date by a long shot..
The waterproofing and breathability are honestly brilliant even when dirty and the small details such as laser cut zips, pit zips, taylored sleeves, extended back, hip zips make it very comfortable and a winner in every situation.. Add to that the printed Hi Viz strips and you have a product that will out last its competitors and at a price that doesn't hurt the wallet...
