Chip Wood. Plant Trees.
We're proud to announce a new partnership between Arbortec Forestwear, Först and Waldfreunde gGmbH, bringing together three organisations with a shared connection to forests and a commitment to protecting them for the future.
For Arbortec and Först, forests are more than the environment our products are designed for. They are workplaces, habitats, climate protectors and an essential foundation for life. Sustainability is at the core of everything we do. Through our partnership with Waldfreunde, we want to give something meaningful back to the forests and communities at the heart of our industry.

World Record
The Most Nationalities Planting Trees Together.
On 24 October, Waldfreunde, Arbortec and Först are joining forces for an ambitious world-record attempt: bringing people from different nationalities together in one location to plant trees as a united global community.
The Record
The most nationalities planting trees together in one place, in one day. People from across the world, united in the forest for a shared mission.
The Challenge
Our original target was 2,000 trees planted in a single day. Now we're aiming higher. It will take teamwork, preparation and a shared belief in what we're trying to achieve.
The Legacy
What matters most happens after the counting stops. Every tree planted is part of a much longer story that will continue for years and decades to come.
Three Partners. One Shared Mission.
Each organisation brings something different to the challenge. Together, we represent different parts of the same story: Manage. Reuse. Regenerate. Protect.

Arbortec Forestwear
Behind every ambitious forestry project are the people making it happen. Arbortec develops protective clothing and equipment for arborists, foresters and professionals working amongst trees.
How Först Can Help
Woodchip from forestry can be used around newly planted trees, creating a sustainable, circular system where material from harvested trees helps establish the next generation. Using a Först chipper helps turn every part of the tree into value and supports a greener future.
Harvest
Mature trees are harvested responsibly. Only what is needed is taken.
Chip
Branches, tops and low-grade timber are fed into the Först chipper and discharged as woodchip.
Regenerate
Woodchip becomes mulch for new trees, biomass energy, or retained habitat for wildlife.
Reduces carbon emissions
Makes full use of each harvested tree
Improves soil health and moisture retention
Supports biodiversity and healthy ecosystems
Why We're Doing It
Forests don't exist on our timescale. The decisions we make today can shape what a woodland looks like in 10, 20, 50 or even 100 years. That's what makes this challenge so important to us.
At Arbortec, we believe in protecting our environment through education and contributing to ongoing regeneration. Sustainable development isn't just a goal, it's a responsibility we share with every arborist and forester who wears our clothing. This campaign brings attention to reforestation, responsible woodland management and the work that goes into creating healthy forests for future generations.
🌲 Manage
Responsible forestry and woodland care
♻️ Reuse
Turning woody material into a resource
🌱 Regenerate
Planting the next generation of trees
🛡️ Protect
Supporting the people who work in forests
Planting Is Only the Beginning
Forests are living ecosystems that need to be continually understood, managed and cared for. Sustainable forestry means planting when needed, protecting young growth, and finding intelligent ways to reuse the material created through responsible woodland management.
A newly planted tree needs time, protection and ongoing care to become established. The trees planted during our record attempt are part of a much longer commitment to environmental sustainability.
"Our ambition goes beyond setting a record. We want to create a legacy."
