Certified Protection
Engineered for real use
Protection is the foundation of Arbortec Chaps. Both variants are certified to ASTM F1897-20 — the recognised chainsaw leg protection standard in the United States — and ASTM F3325-20 Class C, the corresponding Canadian standard. They are also UL Rated, providing independent verification of safety and performance under real working conditions.
At the core is Arbortec's Trio-Strand Gridlock blocking system, engineered to deliver dependable chainsaw protection whilst remaining lightweight, breathable and flexible. Reinforced lower leg panels use durable abrasion-resistant fabric designed to withstand repeated wear in high-contact areas, finished with a DWR coating to resist oil contamination and reduce water absorption.
Fidlock® Magnetic Buckles
It just clicks
The difference is immediate. Arbortec Chaps use Fidlock® magnetic buckles, replacing traditional fastening systems with something faster, simpler and more dependable. As the buckle halves move close, the magnetic element guides them into alignment and locks automatically.
No threading webbing. No forcing a connection. The buckle finds its position and closes with a clean, secure click — even when wearing gloves or working in cold, wet or awkward conditions. It removes friction from the process entirely. Something you trust immediately.

Worn easily over existing clothing — workwear or even just jeans — Arbortec Chaps secure quickly and come off just as easily once the job is done. There's no need to fully change when protection is needed.
The adjustable webbing waistband delivers a secure, personalised fit across a wide range of body sizes. Comfort-fit elastic straps keep the chaps stable whilst allowing natural movement. Lightweight stretch fabric moves with you, not against you.
The one-size-fits-all design makes them especially practical across crews — protection that's ready for different people at different times, without the hassle.
Two Variants. One Standard.
Available in Black and Orange
Both variants use the same certified blocking system, premium materials and Fidlock® magnetic buckles. The difference is simply the level of coverage required.
Front Protection Only
Protects the front of the lower leg — the area most commonly exposed during ground-level chainsaw work. Dependable protection with maximum flexibility.
Calf Wrap Protection
Extends protection around both the front and rear of the lower leg — ideal for aerial work and more exposed positions requiring increased coverage.
