What is your favourite tree?

Well my favourite to look at are Silver birch on Japanese maple. My favourite to work on are macrocarpa. They can tend to be a hard day graft but rewarding days. Be it you are dead wooding and clean to leave the beautiful structure or removals where there is plenty of wood. 

 

Highest tree you have climbed? 

Monolith to a sequoia or some forestry sikta spruce. They where over 100 feet. 

 

Have you had any close calls? If yes, what happened?

Yes. I have had a few cuts with the top handle saws that required internal and normal stitches. It happened one handing a saw and also from a slip on a branch. some broken toes to from a chipper. 

 

What is your hidden talent?

I think imagination. If that's a hidden talent. I am also good at making stuff from wood. Axe restoration and milling is a hobby.

 

When you’re not climbing trees what are your other interest/hobbies.?

Making and restoration of axes. Milling timber. I also do some demonstration work with logosol ireland. Also build up arbfiction itd.
