Arbortec Tree Planting Campaign: One Tree Per Trouser

Autumn 2026 Campaign

Forests are more than the backdrop to our industry. They are workplaces, habitats and living ecosystems, supporting the people and communities at the heart of everything we do.

And what happens to them next matters.

That is why this autumn, Arbortec is joining forces with Waldfreunde gGmbH and Först on a tree planting initiative that brings together forestry, regeneration and the people who work amongst trees.

From 1 September to 31 October 2026, every qualifying pair of Arbortec trousers sold in Germany will help fund the planting of one tree. For every Först chipper sold, ten trees will be planted.

It is a simple commitment with a much bigger purpose.

Our Approach

Thinking Beyond Today

Forests exist on a timescale far beyond our own.

The decisions made today can influence what a woodland looks like in 10, 20, 50 or even 100 years. For an industry so closely connected to trees, that creates a responsibility to think beyond what we take from forests today and consider what we leave for the future.

For us, that is what this campaign is really about.

The people who wear Arbortec are the people working with trees every day: planting them, climbing them, maintaining them and managing the environments they grow within. Supporting the continued regeneration of those environments feels like a natural extension of that relationship.

It also gives us an opportunity to talk about what responsible forestry actually means.

Planting is important, but it is only one part of a much bigger cycle. Healthy forests need to be continually understood, managed and cared for. That can mean establishing new trees, protecting young growth, selectively removing trees where necessary and finding responsible ways to reuse the material created through forestry work.

Manage. Reuse. Regenerate. Protect.
The Partners

Three Partners, One Shared Purpose

Each organisation involved in the campaign brings something different to that cycle.

Waldfreunde gGmbH

At the heart of the project is Waldfreunde gGmbH, an independent non-profit organisation dedicated to environmental education, nature conservation and sustainable development. Its work combines practical action with education, helping more people understand forests and the role we all play in their future.

Först

Först represents another part of the story. Its professional wood chippers turn suitable woody material from arboriculture and forestry into a resource that can be used again. Woodchip can, for example, return to the forest as mulch around newly planted trees, supporting the next stage of growth.

Arbortec

At Arbortec, our focus is the people carrying out that work. We create protective clothing and equipment for arborists, foresters and professionals working amongst trees.

Different roles. The same environment. One shared responsibility for what comes next.

The Milestone

Bringing the World Together in the Forest

On 24 October 2026, the campaign will reach a major milestone at Dietzenbach City Forest in Germany.

Together with Waldfreunde and Först, we will take part in an official attempt to set the world record for the most nationalities planting trees together in one place in one day.

To break the record, people representing more than 66 different nations need to come together and plant side by side. Alongside the record attempt, the ambition is to plant more than 2,000 trees during the day.

While the purchase element of the campaign is specific to Germany, the record attempt is deliberately international.

It is about bringing people from different countries and backgrounds together around something they share. One forest. One day. One collective effort towards what comes next.

The world record gives us an ambitious target, but the number itself is only part of the story.

Aftercare

The Work Continues After the Last Tree Is Planted

A newly planted tree does not become a healthy forest simply because it has been put into the ground.

It needs the right conditions to establish, protection while it grows and continued care in the years that follow.

Every tree planted through the campaign will therefore receive five years of dedicated aftercare from Waldfreunde, covering site preparation, certified seedlings, protective fencing, mulching, maintenance and ongoing support.

That long-term commitment is fundamental to the project.

Because ultimately, this is not about how many trees we can plant in one campaign or even one record-breaking day. It is about giving those trees the best possible opportunity to become part of a thriving forest for generations to come.

Get Involved

Be Part of It

For our customers in Germany, every qualifying pair of Arbortec trousers purchased between 1 September and 31 October helps plant another tree.

And on 24 October, the invitation extends far beyond Germany. People from across the world can join us at Dietzenbach City Forest and help bring more than 66 nationalities together amongst the trees.

One pair of trousers. One tree planted.

One international community coming together for the future of our forests.

Together we can plant the future.
