If you've always had the desire to make something artistic or creative out of the tree that's just come down and the wood is still sitting around waiting to be sculpted, this is a great opportunity to start that project. If you’ve never quite had the time to start a carving project or indeed learn to carve then take this time now. Starting a creative project is a great way to keep your mind off of other things and stay focused on a project that you can enjoy. 

Whether you're looking to start a chainsaw carving project or a whittling project, we've put together some useful resources for inspiration and to help you get started.

WHITTLING/HANDCRAFTED PROJECTS:

If you have neighbours or would like to work on a less noisy wood working project why not turn your hand to whittling, using mostly hand tools you can create some brilliant handcrafted items that you'll be able to use in your everyday life or as nice little keepsakes.
