I used to wear chaps all the time and felt like they were a hassle, so I started cutting without chaps to save time. Then one day someone told me to put the chaps on, so I did as I was instructed, and not even 5 mins later, I cut the chaps. So since then, I've switched over to chainsaw pants and no longer ignore the danger of not having chainsaw protection on, as it can happen in just seconds.

The chipper got clogged. During the unclogging process, the chute of the chipper fell and smashed my foot. I was wearing the Arbortec Kayos. I truly believe they were the only thing that saved my foot. As a climber, I'm mostly concerned about chaps and chainsaw pants, but in reality, footwear also is a major safety concern. Very thankful for my Kayos allowing me to learn from my mistake without having a serious injury.
